Marysia has taught in various educational settings since 2000. Initially volunteering in a school for students with special educational needs, Marysia assisted students in the attainment of educational and social goals, focusing on individual achievement. Whilst studying at university, Marysia completed a placement in a nursery in the UK, as a requirement of her participation in a Student Associate Scheme. Since arriving in Japan, she has taught in a large eikaiwa, taking an immersive approach towards learning, in fun and energetic atmosphere.

マリシア先生は2000年から色々な教育現場で指導にあたってきました。初めの頃は障害児の教育機関において個々の能力に応じて教育面、社会面の習得のためにボランティア活動をした経験もあります。イギリスの大学では幼児教育課程を修了しました。 日本では大きな英会話学校で英会話教師として楽しくまた精力的に指導にあたりました。

Lakietra Virgin

LaKietra was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. Her love for teaching, sharing and guiding children to reach their full potential is grounded in her lovingly unforgettable childhood with five siblings. At the age of 18, she began working with children with disabilities as a summer camp volunteer. While she was a university exchange student in Akita, Japan, she took the opportunity to volunteer at local kindergartens and pre-schools as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) through the schools Ambassador Program. Upon graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she found it irresistible not to become an after-school teacher and assist children in formulating their own voice in English as well as creating a voice in Japan. During the four years time, she encouraged elementary school age students to put on Art Shows and bilingual skits at local nursing homes and kindergartens. Since returning to Japan, six years ago, she has worked at a few small eikaiwas with the goal of preparing students for speech contests and study abroad programs. She has also found part-time work at a local preschool as an ALT. In two years her students have included several English-based games on Sports Day and last year performed a mini-skit of the famous `A Christmas Carol` during their Winter Musical. Her special focus is on creativity, fostering and maintaining lifelong friendships and team-oriented activities.

Virgin先生はアメリカのウィスコンシン州の出身です。 18歳の時に障害児のサマーキャンプにボランティアとして参加したり、大学生の時には交換留学生として秋田県で学び、地元の幼稚園やプレスクールでアシスタントとして英語の指導をした経験もあります。 大学卒業後はアメリカの小学校でアートショーをしたり、保育園や幼稚園などで2ヶ国語を使ったスキットなどの指導をしました。 6年前に日本に再来日してからは、いくつかの英会話学校で子どもたちにスピーチコンテストや海外留学のための指導をしたり、プレスクールで指導をしたりしました。 幼稚園での指導経験も豊富で、子どもが大好きな先生はアートが得意だということです。

Tyler Amaral

Tyler is a Portuguese Canadian born in London, Ontario, Canada. Growing up one of his greatest influences were his teachers throughout elementary school, high school, and college, many of which he still works with and keeps in contact with. In 2004 he moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada to continue his studies in the arts and music. It‘s Tyler’s belief that creativity and imagination is the key to teaching children and adults alike. Since graduating college Tyler has worked with many Japanese and Korean students in Canada, helping them refine their English skills and achieve their own personal goals. Now Tyler wants to apply his love for children and give kids the same opportunities he had in school; a chance to enjoy learning and growing with friends and caring teachers.

タイラー先生は、カナダのトロント出身です。彼は小学校、中学校、高校、大学と、担任の先生に非常に恵まれてきました。今でも連絡を取り続けているくらい良い仲で、“講師”という職業に憧れを持つようになりました。音楽やアートが大好きで、想像力に富んでいる彼はその才能を教育という現場で発揮してきました。講師経験のある彼は、日本の子どもたちにも素晴らしい先生に囲まれながら、英語はもちろんのこと、クリエイティビティも同時に学んでほしいと思い、毎日熱心にクラス作りに取り組んでいます。

Ritsuko Iwamoto

Ritsuko has 12 years of experience as a kindergarten teacher.
She loves traveling and has completed a child education program in Australia. After coming back to Japan and working as an assistant in an international school for 2 years, she now focuses on bringing both Japanese and foreign culture into her lessons. She believes that this gives the children she teaches a great first step in our global world

律子先生は12年間保育士として、0歳～5歳児まですべてのクラスの担任経験があります。旅行が大好きで、いろいろな国へ行ってみたいと思い、英語を習い始めました。その後、オーストラリアへ留学をし、児童英語教師コースを修了しました。帰国後、インターナショナルスクールでの勤務を経験し、アブロードの一員になりました。彼女は、外国の文化はもちろん、日本の文化も取り入れたレッスンに重点を置き、子どもたち全員にとって素晴らしい国際的社会へのファーストステップとなるよう日々取り組んでいます。

Aiko Nakatani

Aiko started studying English seriously because of her interest in foreign films, music and culture. Her first step was going to Brighton, England to study English, and afterwards found a job at a Japanese trading company dealing with many foreign suppliers and customers. Aiko traveled to over ten countries on business trips where she could use her English skills frequently. This job taught her that English could open many doors and could be fun at the same time, and so Aiko decided to change her career to teaching English so she could share her findings with others. She moved to Toronto, Canada to continue her studies, where she volunteered at three different children’s schools while completing her TYC (Teaching Young Children) and TESOL certificates. Now having moved back to Japan Aiko is continuing her work with children and hopes to help them find the same love for English that she did.

アイコ先生は、海外の映画、音楽、そして文化にとても興味があったことがきっかけで英語の勉強をし始めました。イギリスでの留学経験の後、英語が活かせる仕事に就き、１０カ国以上の国々へビジネスで訪れました。仕事を通じて、英語が話せることはとても楽しく様々なことにも役に立つことを学びました。その後、カナダで子どもたちに英語を教えることのできる資格を取得し、カナダのトロントの幼稚園や保育園でボランティア活動に励むようになり、教える仕事の楽しさに気付きました。これからの将来を担っていく子どもたちにも自分と同じように英語に対する興味を持ってもらいたいと強く思っています。

Jeevan Sahnsi

Jeevan Sahnsi joined Abroad Language School in 2007, and he comes from Nottingham, England. He was a Graphic Designer in England, but decided to change his career to teaching 3 years ago when he came to Japan. He has a gentle approach to teaching, and likes to keep his students happy and comfortable in the classroom. Now in Japan he spends a lot of his free time either hiking or joining social events for Japanese and foreign people. He considers himself Osaka-jin, and hopes to stay in Japan doing what he loves - teaching.
